Jesse Asido, Founder of Scarborough Spots, made history yesterday at the Scarborough Walk of Fame.
His induction into the Scarborough Walk of Fame made him the first Filipino inductee in the award's history. In his speech, Jesse made clear the moment wasn't just his as he shouted out the Filipino community in his speech.

I really want to just take time to shout out the amazing Filipino people who came here in the 70's & 90's and came here with nothing, built a life out of scratch, and paved the way for my generation and the generation to come.

Among fellow inductees were Olympian Andre de Grasse, Musician & Singer Fefe Dobson, Photographer Trevor Godhino, Community Builder Geeta Moorthy, Educator Dr Ashleigh Molloy and Philanthropist’s John & Cathy Phillips .
